Helping Hands – Sablon Audio – Auction to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy

From record snowfall in the North Carolina mountains to massive flooding in New York, Hurricane Sandy has had a devastating impact on the U.S. East Coast.  The need for something as basic as clean drinking water is so great that Anheuser-Busch switched their beer lines to water lines over the weekend to provide canned water for those affected.

Mark Coles, owner of Sablon Audio, is asking that the audiophile community to pitch in, as he did with his charity auction for the Japanese Tsunami last year.  In order to raise awareness for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, Sablon Audio is auctioning off a new 5 foot Sablon Audio Gran Corona power cord in exchange for a donation to the Red Cross.  You can find the listing here.

Mark says, “the motivation was simply to make a gesture to help alleviate the suffering this storm has caused – I’m sure most of us have family / friends / clients / colleagues on the east coast affected by Sandy.”

If you’d like to donate to the Red Cross directly, you can either text “Red Cross” to 90999 (messaging fees may apply) OR visit the Red Cross website.  Goods, food, cash, and even blood are in short supply and every little bit aids families displaced by the hurricane.  As a new Nor’easter storm looms, your help is greatly needed.  Audiogon would like to thank Mark Coles and Sablon Audio for their efforts.
