Introducing Second Chance Offers

Audiogon is now offering SECOND CHANCE OFFERS.

Has your auction ever ended without a buyer?  Has your classified listing expired and not sold?  Now you have a second chance to sell that item for seven days after the listing has expired.  If your auction or classified has ended without a sale, you will be notified via email as well as your MyPage of the highest bidder or the best previous offer.

Example of an email advising Audiogon sellers that their Classified or Auction expired with pending offers.

You can then choose to accept previous offers and complete your sale of the item.

Here’s how it works:

Under your expired listings tab on your MyPage, simply click on the expired item to be taken to the listing to see your best offers.

Step 1: Visit the expired listing to see your best offers.

Choose which offer you would like to reinstate and send the message to your buyer.

Step 2: Choose which offer you would like to reinstate and send the message to your buyer.

The potential buyer will be notified via email that you have extended the Second Chance Offer.

This is how the Second Chance Offer email will look to your potential buyer.

The potential buyer will also be notified once he logs in to his MyPage.

In order to accept or decline your Second Chance offer, the potential buyer can click on the link to the expired listing.  Potential buyers can choose to accept or decline your Second Chance offer directly from the listing page.

If a potential buyer accepts your Second Chance offer, a transaction will be processed at this point.  From there, you will take the same steps you normally would had your listing been sold during the initial run.

Additionally, you may also initiate messages to potential buyers after sending a Second Chance offer from the listing page.

If you've sent a Second Chance offer without a memo, or if you have further information, you can initiate a message here.

Note:  Second Chance offers are available for a period of seven days after the auction or classified expired without a buyer.  If your classified or auction expired eight days ago or more, you will not see any actions available on the listing page.
