Some of you have wanted to make modifications to the connectors on your amps and other equipment, but you couldn’t figure out how to do so with the black dust caps in place. These four steps should have them out in no time.
1. Spin the binding post nuts all the way counter-clockwise until they actually come off.
2. They won’t be flush anymore and should be no problem to pull out with your fingers.
3. No luck? Take a single edge razor blade and wedge it between the plastic and metal connector.
4. Work it back and forth, then twist to pop it off.
User Blk25 reminded, “You really can’t hurt anything. Doesn’t matter if you ruin them as they will never go back in. They should come out very easily.”
