Ever had a stuck control and didn’t know what to do, you are not alone. User RPteemley had an issue with a volume control that suddenly wouldn’t budge on his amplifier. He asked the Audiogon community for advice, and we’ve compiled their suggestions into an easy 3-step method.
1. Check to make sure the knob is not pushed in on the shaft to the point that it won’t turn.
2. Apply a lubricant (WD40, Deoxit D100, or Teflon dry lubricant). Check with the manufacturer for their recommendations on products to use.
3. Once it’s free, spray with some tuner cleaner.
After following those instructions, you are a-okay to crank it up!
